This is what the CNBC edited tape quotes Governor Romney as saying:
"And then I was at a WAWAs and ordered a sandwich… you have a touchtone keypad, and you touch that, touch this, go pay the cashier, there’s your sandwich. It’s amazing!”
Andrea Mitchell engaged in a deliberate deception to make Governor Romney appear out of touch with reality. That he is totally unaware of technology that effects everyone's lives.
Now this is what Governor Romney really said
“By the way, where do you get your hoagies here, do you get them at WAWAs?… Well I want to a place today called WAWAs, have you ever been to WAWAs? I know some people haven’t…. We went to WAWAs and it was instructive to me, because I saw the difference between the private sector and the governmental sector. People who work in government are good people and I respect what they do, but you see, the challenge with government is that it doesn’t have competition.”
What Romney was really doing is pointing out the differences between the innovative private sector and the lethargic Federal Government.
Once Andrea Mitchell got caught in the lie CNBC issued the complete un-redacted version of the film clip. She made some lame excuse about cutting the tape for time. Now Andrea is the one who is Waa Waa-ing.
This is typical of CNBC. It is an unabashed supporter of Obama and will do anything in its power to prop up his failed presidency. Leaders in Europe, out of habit, refer to the U.S. president as "Your Excellency". Now they derisively refer to Obama behind his back as "Your Irrelevancy".
