28 companies declined to cover our 583-acre non-profit (with six buildings) off of Skyline this year. We had no choice but to go with CA FAIR. And had to undertake a lot of extra work to obtain THAT (even though we routinely pass CALFIRE inspections). Had to chop down two Japanese maples and limb redwoods another 10 feet up from roof line. Other neighbors have stories as well. Rough times for anyone living in a Level 10 Fire protection district.
