I am starting to see a pattern. Seems like towns in which their elected officials represent those who elected them, create valuable places where people want to live, and those that want admission have to pay a premium for.

Taking all multifamily development off the table seems unnecessarily restrictive, especially when there are areas in Atherton that seem ideal for that kind of housing. For instance, Watkins Ave. is right next to Holbrook-Palmer Park, so any housing along that road would have the equivalent of a giant backyard.

ADU's in Atherton are going to provide additional housing? hah! What a joke. Does anyone honestly believe the wealthy folks of Atherton are actually going to rent out their ADU's? Not a chance. More pretending to comply with a law that should never have been passed in the first place.

Well, what do you know? The town council actually showing some spine and representing residents’ interests. It may have been a bit late in this game, but I’ll take it.

We have to get past the Arrillaga-Andreessen effect where wealthy people who believe in greater housing supply and diversity only believe in those things when the changes fall on other peoples’ or communities’ backs.
Please step up everybody ! This is not leadership !
Billionaire tech investor Marc Andreessen believes in building more housing. Just not where he lives
