Three candidates are vying for a seat on Atherton City Council

This is a bit confusing ("vying for a seat"). How many seats are open to be filled? Three? Or one? (I doubt one).

Town Council Election:

This is the absolute WORST headline possible & the reporter should be ashamed of her lack of clarity & the confusion!

There are 3 candidates running for 3 openings! IF no others file, we will get these 3! DeGolia & Widmer have done an admirable job protecting Atherton's residents.However they need help in addressing the greatest threat to Atherton - New State Housing Mandates that will destroy the town's residential nature. We need thoughtful, strategic and creative approaches to obeying the overreaching Housing Element laws, but creating an action plan to "Keep Atherton Atherton".

Instead of listening to the community, Miles Holland is focused on passing many new ordinances that will convert Atherton to her vision of Utopia. She wants to ban (& fine any residents using them) leaf blowers and all natural gas connections to homes in Atherton. Her goal is to tell you how to live your life & is focused on her "virtue signaling". Atherton does NOT need more ordinances & to then hire more Police "Ordinance Enforcers"!

Instead we need someone with vision that will help the Council to address the critical needs of future Housing edicts, Safety & Security, Traffic (wait for the impact of the new housing on El Camino & more), water usage, electricity/gas utility rates, etc.) Atherton deserves better in a Town Council member!
