Where to put the students?

Facing projections of a 22 percent rise in enrollment in local public high schools over the next eight years, the Sequoia Union High School District wants to hear from parents about how to deal with this growth.

So schools are overcrowded and there's talk and plans to add more housing. I'm guessing there will be some school-aged children in that mix. More housing will mean more cars on the roads. It's a domino effect.

When these students become adults they are going to need housing.

So, we need to building enough housing so that every student who attends local schools can buy her/his own home in our school district? Where are the schools going to go? Where are these kids going to play sports? How are people going to get around town when the population is 3x what it is today? And maybe, just maybe, the quality of life around here is going to decline so far and so fast that no one is going to want to move to Menlo Park.
