A road closure is in effect near Willow Oaks Park in Menlo Park due to restoration of a broken water main, city officials said Thursday morning, Aug. 24.
The eastbound lane of Willow Road in the direction of U.S. Highway 101 and Bayfront Expressway is closed, and traffic is detoured on Gilbert Avenue, Menlo Park officials said in an advisory issued shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday.
Westbound traffic on Willow Road is down to one lane, city officials said.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes. According to city officials, delays in the area are expected until noon.
City crews have restored water service disrupted by the water main break, Menlo Park officials said.
