Mission Hospice & Home Care is seeking $1.7 million to complete its $6 million capital campaign to fund renovations and patient care at San Mateo County’s only hospice house.
Mission House is a 10-bedroom house designed for people in the last weeks of life. It also offers a safety net for terminally ill patients whose caregivers need a few days of respite.
Since its opening in 2015, Mission House has provided care for 100 patients who would otherwise have been hospitalized.
Founded in 1979, Mission Hospice & Home Care is a nonprofit serving San Mateo County with end-of-life care.
