Free flu shots, courtesy of the Woodside Fire Protection District, will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at a walk-in clinic in the main fire station at 3111 Woodside Road in Woodside.
Free shots will also be available at these locations:
• St. Anthony’s Padua Dining Room, 3500 Middlefield Road in North Fair Oaks, on three Thursdays: Oct. 19, Nov. 16 and Dec. 7. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• La Honda, from noon to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, in the La Honda Puente Office, Suite 4, at 8865 La Honda Road.
People most at risk of contracting the flu, which is contagious, include those over 60 years old, those with serious long-term health issues, and anyone with a weakened immune system. Flu shots are also effective for children at least 6 months old.
