Update: By 2 p.m. power was restored to nearly all customers. A note on PG&E’s website states that PG&E crews “found third-party damage and will make repairs.”
At 11:17 a.m. on Sept. 3, a power outage was reported in Portola Valley affecting nearly 900 PG&E customers. The PG&E power outage map reports that power is estimated to return at 7:30 p.m.
“PG&E is on-site and working to restore power, safely and as quickly as possible,” said PG&E spokesperson Tamara Sarkissian in an email to The Almanac. “The cause is under investigation at this time.”
The PG&E outage map states that its team is currently “evaluating the electrical system to identify damaged sections and make necessary repairs in order to safely turn the power back on.”
