The rock and funk outfit Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, led by saxophonist, flutist and vocalist Denson, has been going strong for more than a quarter century, performing everywhere from Madison Square Garden to New Orleans’ Jazzfest to Bonnaroo.
The band rocks the Guild this week, with a touring lineup that, according to the band’s website, includes Ricio Fruge on trumpet and vocals, Ricky Giordano on guitar and vocals, Rashon Murph on keys, Parker McAllister on bass, Alfred Jordan on drums, and Danielle Barker on vocals. Denson is also a founding member of The Greyboy Allstars and has played with The Rolling Stones.
