Aadil Zakariya pitched a three-hitter and doubled home a run to help Gunn beat host Monta Vista 14-1 in a Santa Clara Valley Athletic League El Camino Division baseball game Tuesday.

Peter Oh drove in three runs and scored three runs for the Titans (9-8, 8-6), who have won seven of their past 10 games.

Jackson Ta and Lennon Seiders each had two hits and drove in two runs for Gunn, which hosts Monta Vista in the regular season finale Thursday afternoon.

Zakariya allowed an unearned run in throwing a complete game. He walked one and struck out nine.

Gunn took the lead two batters into the contest. Charlie Deggeller tripled on an 0-2 pitch and scored on Quinton Sterling’s groundout.

The Titans started to take control of the game with their four-run rally in the second. Evan Wiederhold led off with a triple and Colin Wellwood walked and stole second. They both scored on Oh’s single. After Deggeller was hit by a pitch, both runners scored on a fielding error.

Seiders tripled home two runs in the fifth. Ta singled home runs in each the fifth and sixth.

Peninsula Athletic League

Menlo-Atherton clinched at least a title tie in the Ocean Division, beating visiting Terra Nova 9-2 Tuesday.

Griffin Williams allowed two runs on five hits in pitching a complete game. He struck out nine and did not walk a batter.

Tommy Eisenstat hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth. Reno DiBono doubled home two runs in the second to open the scoring.

Matt MacLeod and Ethan Bergan each added two hits for the Bears (18-6, 12-1), who have won 15 of their past 16 games.

M-A travels to Terra Nova for the PAL finale on Friday, June 2. The Bears are scheduled to host Branham the following afternoon.

Woodside edged El Camino 2-1 in another Ocean Division contest. Zakary Sullivan went the distance, allowing a run on three hits. He walked two and struck out 10.

The Wildcats (11-10, 8-5) scored twice in the bottom of the second inning and then made it stand up.

Jared Lopez Gonzalez and Charlie Grech each singled with two outs. A wild pitch moved them up a base and they both scored on a second wild pitch.

Sullivan and Christopher Dodge also had hits for Woodside.
