Andrew Mills averaged nearly six goals a game and the Woodside High boys water polo team placed second in the Silicon Valley Invite on Saturday at Harker.

Mills scored 23 goals as the Wildcats (14-6) won three of four games. He opened with six goals on eight shots in a 20-4 victory over Santa Teresa on Friday.

Tyler Deal and Jake Anderson each added three goals and Elliott Jerng added a pair.

Goalie Max Mueller, who recorded 10 saves in three quarters, got a chance to play in the field and also scored a goal.

Anderson, who finished with 19 goals total, scored eight in Woodside’s 18-6 win over California San Ramon.

Mills scored seven goals in helping the Wildcats beat Palo Alto, 15-4. Anderson added five and Mueller and Owen Bertine each recorded three assists.

Woodside completes its regular season schedule with a home game against Mills at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Palo Alto hosts the SCVAL De Anza Division tournament that begins Tuesday.

The girls tournament will be held at Los Gatos.
