Firefighters on Friday responded to a single-alarm house fire in Portola Valley on the corner of Corte Madera and Campo Road near Woodside Priory.
Fire officials received an initial call at 1:42 p.m. on Nov. 21 for a smoke investigation, but upon inspection, firefighters quickly spotted flames.
The Woodside Fire Protection District, Menlo Park Fire Protection District and Cal Fire responded to the scene and flames were extinguished by 2:01 p.m., according to local fire officials.
At the time of the incident, residents of the building were not home and no injuries were reported, according to Woodside Fire Chief Tom Cuschieri. The cause of the flames are still unknown.
As of 2:30 p.m., local law enforcement closed Corte Madera Road in both directions while firefighters remained on the scene for mop-up. Fire officials advised the community to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
