Author and actor Henry Winkler and co-author Lin Oliver will visit the Menlo Park Library at 7 p.m. Friday, May 16, to talk about their latest book, “The Life of Me: (Enter at Your Own Risk),” part of their Hank Zipzer series.
The free program is co-sponsored by the Menlo Park Library and Kepler’s bookstore in Menlo Park.
Many remember Mr. Winkler as “The Fonz” on the television program, “Happy Days.” His book, he says, is based on his true life experiences as “the world’s greatest underachiever.”
Growing up in New York City, no one knew what dyslexia was, he says. “I was called stupid, lazy and I was told that I was not living up to my potential,” says Mr. Winkler. The book deals with learning differences in an empathetic way.
Mr. Winkler and Ms. Lin have written 14 books about Hank Zipzer, their fourth-grade hero. The authors will sign copies of the book, which is available through Kepler’s Books.
