Pulitzer Prize-winning historian David M. Kennedy will discuss the book, “The Modern American Military: How the advent of the all-volunteer force and the evolving nature of modern warfare have transformed the military” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Kepler’s Books, 1010 El Camino Real, Menlo Park.
Mr. Kennedy, who edited the volume, is the Donald J. McLachlan professor of history emeritus at Stanford University and co-director of the Bill Lane Center for the American West.
