Friday: Alexander Eccles performs at Menlo College

 

Three more free concerts, including one Friday night, July 24, starting at 5 p.m. with Alexander Eccles, remain in Menlo College's NASDAQ Private Summer Concert Series.

Mr. Eccles writes in and across genres ranging from rock to classical to musical theater.

The concerts are every other Friday night from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Menlo College campus, 1000 El Camino Real, in Atherton, and each will feature a celebrity MC, food trucks, giveaways, free parking and free beer and wine, according to the website for the events. Free tickets can be reserved on the website.

"We hope to welcome everyone in the Silicon Valley community and the immediate Atherton and Menlo Park areas for great music and great food in a welcoming environment on our campus," said Menlo College President Richard Moran.

On August 7, El Desayuno, an improvisational Latin Jazz band will play.

The series ends on Friday, August 21, when a cappella group Googlepella from Google, The Vocal Network from Facebook, and the Songbirds from Twitter, among others, will perform.

Attendees are encourage to bring lawn chairs and picnics.
