Facebook will bring back its community mobile farmers’ market this Sunday (March 10).
On a Facebook post, the company announced it will be using its own truck for the program.
Local residents can purchase a bag containing about $60 worth of food for $15, with cash, credit or a CalFresh EBT card. The bags are filled with local eggs, cheese, bread, juice, meats, pastas and other seasonal products, according to the post. Unsold produce is taken to local nonprofits.
The truck will be in Menlo Park, at the Belle Haven Branch Library at 413 Ivy Drive from 9 to 10 a.m., at the St. Francis of Assisi Church at 1425 Bay Road in East Palo Alto from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m., and at the East Palo Alto Senior Center at 560 Bell St. in East Palo Alto from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
In addition, at the Belle Haven location, hands-on CPR training and a bike maintenance clinic are scheduled.
