Here’s what is trending in local high school sports, courtesy of Peninsula Preps Playbook:

Sacred Heart Prep boys basketball

SHP scored 87 points in its West Bay Athletic League game Monday at home against Harker.

The league leaders (12-3, 5-0) have scored 1,006 points thus far. Priory is second in the league with 927 points in 17 games.

Senior guard Aidan Braccia scored a season-high 29 points and has 266 total for the season, an average of 17.7.

The Belmont University commit has recorded double figures scoring in 36 consecutive games dating to the final game of his sophomore season. His career total is 1,161 heading into Friday’s game at second place The King’s Academy.

Kevin Carney (11.3) and Emmer Nichols (10.4) also average double figures for SHP and Sam Norris (8.8) is getting closer.

Palo Alto girls basketball

Paly (13-1, 4-0) won its 11th straight on Monday, beating Wilcox in a make-up game from Jan. 14.

The Vikings are winning by getting contributions from several players. Against Wilcox, it was Jessica Fiske, with 15 rebounds, Katherine Garr (8) and Itzel Torres (7) helping to control the boards.

Nadia Brown scored 14 points, including all four of her free throw attempts.

Palo Alto continues a big week with a home game against their fellow Vikings from Lynbrook (8-8, 2-2) at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Looming Friday is Paly’s game at Los Gatos (15-1, 4-0), which beat Homestead 57-47 on Monday and plays at Wilcox on Wednesday. The Wildcats have won 13 straight.

Mountain View girls basketball

The Spartans were riding a three-game winning streak until running into The King’s Academy on Monday.

Mountain View (10-5), which played without leading scorer Toki Morimoto, lost to a team with a losing record for the first time this season.

The first four losses were to teams which are currently in first place or tied for first in their respective leagues.

TKA, which plays in the WBAL, did beat Monta Vista in its season opener. Mountain View is a half-game behind Monta Vista in the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League El Camino Division.

Senior forward Lauren Dove is trending upward. After a seven-game stretch in which she produced 30 total rebounds, she grabbed 31 in her next three games. She also added 14 assists in those three games.

Dove’s 12 rebounds in Mountain View’s win over Cupertino was a career high. She currently averages 6.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.

The Spartans play at Milpitas on Wednesday night. In their previous meeting Mountain View won 35-34.

Sacred Heart Prep boys soccer

The Gators rebounded from their loss to Harker with a big victory over The King’s Academy.

The stat of the match belongs to Luke Maxwell, who assisted on SHP’s first four goals, the first two by Carlos Deras and the second two to Beau Dunlevie.

Harker, 4-0 after beating Eastside Prep on Monday, has yet to allow a goal in WBAL play. Sacred Heart Prep (5-1 in league) has outscored opponents by a 25-5 margin.

SHP plays again Wednesday at Priory while Harker has a big game at Menlo (3-1) on Friday.
