School board elections are likely in November in two local K-8 districts: Menlo Park and Las Lomitas.

In each district, four candidates so far have filed to run for three open seats on the five-member school boards.

The filing deadline is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11.

In the Menlo Park City School District, Ana C. Uribe-Ruiz, a Menlo Park mother and business owner, has filed her papers and joins incumbent Laura Linkletter Rich, former board member Terry Thygesen, and community volunteer Joan Lambert in the race.

In the Las Lomitas School District, the four who have filed are Ann C. Jaquith, an educator; Jay Siegel, an incumbent; Richard Ginn, a venture capitalist; and Mark Reinstra, a corporate lawyer. The Las Lomitas district covers parts of Atherton, Menlo Park and unincorporated San Mateo County.

In each race, an incumbent has chosen not to run, which automatically extended the filing period by five days, to Aug. 11.
