Welcome to the intersection of summer and fall. The first autumn leaves against a warm blue sky, Friday night lights across football fields and baseball diamonds, strawberries and pumpkins commingling at farmers markets. Daylight may be dwindling, but that just means we have to soak up as much of it as we can – and there are plenty of ways to do that in September.
Labor Day weekend kicks off a frenzy of festivities with hallmark Peninsula events like the Kings Mountain Art Fair and Belmont Greek Festival. As September continues, end-of-summer events meet fall traditions like the Mid-Autumn Festival, Oktoberfest and the Great Glass Pumpkin Patch. Find our Peninsula-wide guide to the long weekend and one of the Bay’s best months below.
Dancin’ in September,

The Showcase in Mountain View gives local musicians a chance to shine

Congrats to Shirley M. of Millbrae, who was the first reader to correctly identify where last week’s photo was taken (it’s the Millbrae Library!).
