San Mateo, Santa Clara counties see rise in whooping cough cases
Cases of whooping cough, also known as pertussis, are on the rise in San Mateo County, according to a Wednesday, Nov. 27, county health advisory. Some 56 cases have been reported this year, compared to four in 2023.
