Corte Madera School’s flag football team has won the Small School Intermediate League championship for the second straight year.
Coaching the Portola Valley team to a 10-0 record were Dan Flahavan, athletic director at Corte Madera, and assistant coaches Avi Shah and Steve Meyer.
To cinch the championship, Corte Madera defeated Woodside Priory School 8-6 on Nov. 7. The Priory was blanking Corte Madera 6-0 until the end of the third quarter when Grant Carr caught a touchdown pass from Thomas Gore-Schreck. Nicky Gebhart ran in the conversion for two points.
Players on the Corte Madera’s championship team are: Ryan Burger, Grant Carr, Sam Cronin, Michael Debroeck, Ricky Falore, Nicky Gebhart, Stephen Harman, Danny Hung, Greg Hyver, Justin Lannin, Mason Lewis, Alec MacKenzie, Paolo Mataela, Brian Moran, Bryan Munks, Juan Revollar, Tom Gore-Schreck, Aleksander Staprans, Sam Tindell, and Charlie West.
