As a long time resident of Menlo Park I am voting Parmer-Lohan. You just can’t trust a politician that changes his mind on important topic like Ray Mueller, predictably when money is added to the equation.

If you want someone with integrity, extensive experience, the top endorsements, and specific plans to address local issues, vote Mueller.

If you like gender-based fear mongering, paid biased push-polls, hiding behind national issues to create false dichotomies, and vulgar slogans, well, you have an alternative….

Huh – I live in the same supervisor district and neither Mueller nor Parmer-Lohan is on my ballot. Menlo Lifestyle, did you move to Atherton or something?

I am also a long time resident of Menlo Park and I know Ray and I know that he takes the interests of the residents to heart. He is honest and I trust him to do the right thing. I think the article makes good points in that he has plans for tackling the issues and that he is also reaching out to the coast side to understand and help their issues. Another factor in my vote is that Mueller is not trying to sling dirt and campaign on negativity.

I grew up in Menlo Park and now live in Half Moon Bay and see first hand the huge gap in essential services on the coast. I'm supporting Ray Mueller. I like the ideas he has for the coast and the fact he is willing to work out here several times a week shows dedication. I like the changes Ray made in Menlo and would love to see his ideas come to life on the Coast.

Laura Parmer-Lohan has my vote. She is a community builder and team player. In fact, Laura has unanimous support from her fellow City Council members in San Carlos! While she hasn't been on the scene for quite as long as her opponent, she has a track record of governing thoughtfully and even-handedly. I think she would make a great Supervisor.

Ray Mueller has my vote. I have known him for years and know him to be a man of integrity who deeply cares about serving his community. He is a listener who understands the county's most pressing issues and seeks thoughtful, pragmatic approaches. He is a consensus builder who will focus on the needs of the community and not political agendas from the fringe.

As the partner of an immigrant, parent of biracial children and strong LGBTQ+ advocate - I believe representation matters, which is why I am voting for Laura Parmer-Lohan. San Mateo County is 60% non-white and 50% female. Her lived experience and policies on issues ranging from the environment to contraception will serve our county well. I have watched her during numerous debates/candidate forums and am impressed with the way she listens well and treats others with respect. It is not surprising that she has the unanimous support of her San Carlos City Council colleagues.

Ray purports to support affordable housing yet is endorsed by the California Apt. Association who represent landlords’ interests rather than tenants, and by mega developers; he purports to be an environmentalist yet suggested a giant air gondola over the protected watershed property might be a great idea and by oil interests (who may be interested in off shore drilling?) Laura’s support, however, is grassroots. Ray claims a long list of accomplishments that are the work of others, whereas he has not attended to matters right on his doorstep. Laura is supported by everyone single person on her council which is not the case for Ray, and only two current supervisors want him on the Board. Don Horsley knows what is entailed in representing the District, yet he is enthusiastically supporting Laura since he obviously believes that she has what it takes to represent the many varied interests in the district.

Boadicea: Laura “purports” to support many things, while offering very little in terms of specifics, and accomplishing very little while on the San Carlos council. You also follow her lead by misleading readers about Ray’s actual positions and support, which is also “grass roots” for the most part. Integrity and character count, and it’s truly disappointing Parmer-Lohan has brought MAGA style campaign tactics to San Mateo County politics..

It's quite tiring reading all the negative character attacks which have become a hallmark of Parmer-Lohan's campaign against Mueller.

I rely on editorial boards to make objective comparisons, and as I mentioned above, the papers have endorsed Mueller.
