Robbers made off with about $30,000 in goods by opening an unlocked window in an otherwise locked home in the Stanford Weekend Acres neighborhood off Alpine Road sometime between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Monday, September 11.
The thief or thieves ransacked the master bedroom and took jewelry worth $20,000, including a $10,000 necklace, and purses worth a total of $10,000, said Lt. Ken Jones of the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. The credit cards in the purses were stolen also.
Deputies checked the house for fingerprints and the neighborhood for additional clues on Monday evening, Lt. Jones said.
