Around 2:20 a.m. Saturday morning, a white sedan struck multiple trees and flipped upside down at 900 Portola Road in Portola Valley, according to a report.

Deputies from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office found two people trapped inside of the car with major injuries. Woodside Fire was able to remove both of the passengers, who were transported to a nearby hospital for “emergency treatment,” according to the report.

The passengers’ identities have not been released and the sheriff’s office Major Accident Investigation Team is still determining the cause of the crash.

Woodside Fire did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
