Spending was low for the upcoming Woodside Town Council election in November, where only one of the three races is contested. The only candidate to have reported spending more than $2,000 for the period of Jan. 1 to Sept. 24 was Alayna Van Dervort Wagner, who is seeking the District 5 seat.
Van Dervort Wagner, who is a write-in candidate, contributed $4,763 to her own campaign to be spent on yard signs and postcards, according to her filed campaign finance reports.
Incumbents Jenn Wall (District 1) and Paul Goeld (District 4), along with Hassan Aburish (District 5) filed 470 forms. This type of form is a declaration stating that the candidate anticipates they will receive and spend less than $2,000 during the calendar year for their campaign.
