• Art/Music: “MIX”
Stanford’s Cantor Arts Center is hosting a social mixer June 18 at 5:30 p.m. for young professionals. The art exhibition “Pop to Present” will be available to view, featuring approximately 60 works from the 1960s to the 21st century. Hawaiian musician Kalae Miles will also perform, drawing from the mele chant tradition. The event is expected to last two hours, and admission is free. Tomorrow (June 18) at 7 p.m., Palo Alto poet Elizabeth Chapman will read from her latest book of poetry, “Light Thickens.” Chapman’s somber yet hopeful collection received the Robert McGovern Memorial Publication Prize for 2008.
