The first of three weekends of the U-Pick season at Webb Ranch Farm, located off Alpine Road near Interstate 280, runs Friday through Sunday (June 19-21), from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day.
The farm is at 2720 Alpine Road. Register at the Webb Ranch farmers’ market, about 200 yards east of I-280.
After paying a $3 entrance fee, customers will be able to pick a variety of pesticide- and herbicide-free berries for $3 per pound, according to a Webb Ranch handout. Children under the age of 5 and seniors over the age of 65 will be admitted free.
This year, the farm is selling Butte blackberries, Ollalie blackberries, raspberries, and loganberries. A strawberry U-Pick will be held in late July, according to the handout.
Webb Ranch Farm has picnic tables for U-Pick customers to use.
The farm recommends that visitors wear sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable shoes when picking berries.
