For those seeking exercise in the great outdoors in July, the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District has lined up a number of activities.
Go to openspace.org for directions, parking and other information.
Water music
A three-mile hike loops beneath the forest canopies of the Franciscan and Lost Creek Trails, located at the Los Trancos Preserve. Hikers will stop at the creekside to listen to “water music” (bird songs and sounds of the creek) and visit a reclusive trailside Buddha.
The hike is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 13. Participants meet at 11 a.m. at the Los Trancos Preserve parking lot on Page Mill Road, across from the Monte Bello Preserve.
Watershed
Visitors will hike the three-mile Zinfandel Trail from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, July 17, and see native plants and animals and what they use to cope with seasonal weather.
Participants will meet at the Pichetti Ranch Preserve parking lot, half a mile up Montebello Road from Foothill Boulevard.

Please Note: The July 12 Geocaching Hike has a limited number of GPS units and space available. This activity requires reservations and the list is now FULL. You may make a waitlist request at openspace.org/activities.
Thank you!!!
