Join car enthusiasts from around the area at the 21st annual Horses to Horsepower car show on Sunday, Oct. 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The free event takes place on the Sequoia High School campus, 1201 Brewster Ave., Redwood City.

More than 250 vehicles pre-registered for the event, from antique trucks and high-powered Mustangs.

Two parades will showcase the vehicles, including a purple-only parade.

Besides that moment to shine, more than 100 awards will be bestowed upon the cars and their owners throughout the day.

Visitors can also enjoy raffles, vendors, food trucks and a live disc jockey.

All proceeds benefit Sequoia High School and HOPE Animal-Assisted Crisis Response.

For more information, contact Larry Knight at 650-766-7228.
