The Menlo Park Library and its Belle Haven branch are each holding summer reading programs that include a reading club, a teen group, and entertainment.
The summer reading program, sponsored by the Friends of the Menlo Park Library, is for all ages and runs June 19 through August 15. If children under 12 read six books over the summer, they earn a free book.
In the teen club, students ages 12 and up are required to read four books during the summer to receive a free book.
Entertainment programs start at the Menlo Park Library at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, with Jean Paul Valjean’s “Amazing Balancing Act,” and continue through August 2. The same entertainment will be held for children and teens. Check with the library for details.
Entertainment at the Belle Haven Library begins at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 29, with Jean Paul Valjean and his “Amazing Balancing Act,” and continues through August 3. Programs at Belle Haven will sometimes vary for children and teens. Check with the library for details.
