“Beyond Bush: Foreign Policy and the Next American President” will be the topic of talk by Kenneth Schultz, associate professor of political science at Stanford, on Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 7:30 to 9 p.m., at the Los Altos Public Library, 13 S. San Antonio Road.

Dr. Schultz will examine the effects of foreign policy on the 2008 election, and the key choices that will face the next president in a program sponsored by the World Affairs Council of Northern California, Peninsula Chapter.

Professor Schultz taught at Princeton University and then UCLA before coming to Stanford. He is director of the Stanford Program on International Relations, and author of “Democracy and Coercive Diplomacy” (2001).
