The public is invited to drop by the Lion’s Club booth during the July Fourth festival at Burgess Park and wish happy birthday to Joe McLoughlin, a native and life-long resident of Menlo Park, and the former owner and operator of McLoughlin’s Shoe Repair on El Camino Real.
He is celebrating his 85th birthday in July. Cake will be served at the Lion’s Club booth from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., says Mary E. Moore, who e-mailed The Almanac about this.
