Marsh Road and Willow Road shuttles will change schedules Feb. 25
The city of Menlo Park announced that the M3-Marsh Road and M4-Willow Road shuttles will be changing their afternoon schedules starting Feb. 25. The third shuttle run from the Willow Road and Marsh Road business parks will now begin at 5:36 p.m.
Service on all Menlo Park shuttles is free and open to everyone. Shuttles can be tracked in real time online.
Additionally, the city of Menlo Park is currently conducting a shuttle study to evaluate current and future needs for the city’s shuttle system. Additional information about the shuttle study can be found at tinyurl.com/MPShuttleStudy.
Menlo Park requests input on City Council priority setting workshop by March 7
The Menlo Park City Council’s annual priority setting workshop is set for March 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. At the workshop, the Council will discuss the city’s environmental justice element, issues related to downtown like economic development and street closures, and overall top priorities for the upcoming fiscal year.
In advance of the workshop. the council is requesting feedback and input from city residents by March 7. Take the City Council priorities survey on the city’s website at publicinput.com/i253666.
Last year, with the help of community input, the council identified four top priorities for the city: climate action, emergency and disaster preparedness, housing and safe routes for bikers and pedestrians.

Cal Water scholarship open until March 27
Applications for California Water Service’s 12th annual college scholarship program are now open until March 27. The program provides four scholarships of $10,000 each along with additional scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $5,000.
Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years old, a high school senior, high school graduate, received a GED certification or be a current post-secondary undergraduate student. All applicants must intend to enroll full-time at an accredited college, university or vocational school for the current academic year.

Learn about ‘hopeful skepticism’ with The Parent Venture
Stanford professor of psychology Jamil Zaki will be discussing the secrets to beating cynicism in an online event hosted by The Parent Venture on Thursday, Feb. 27 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Zaki is also the director of the Stanford Social Neuroscience Lab and is the author of “Hope for Cynics and “The War for Kindness.” During the event, he will be talking about “hopeful skepticism,” a way for individuals to think critically about people and their problems, while encouraging personal strengths.
