St. Raymond’s Pumpkin Festival opens season
St. Raymond School in Menlo Park is hosting its annual Pumpkin Festival Sept. 26–27 at 1100 Santa Cruz Ave. Admission is free, with tickets available for games, attractions, food and beverages. Attendees can purchase wristbands that offers unlimited access to games and attractions for both days of the festival. Wristbands are $85 through Sept. 25 and $100 afterward.
The festival will feature pony and train rides, carnival games, a pumpkin patch, bungee jumping, bounce houses, face-painting, a bake sale and more. Local restaurants including Camper, Mazra, Village Bakery and Sigona’s will provide food and drinks. Friday night includes a live performance by the Wild Child Rock Band and a Halloween Glow Boo-tique.
Festival hours are 3:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27. Wristbands can be purchased at https://bit.ly/3VTO6dj.

Square dance class in Ladera
On Sunday, Sept. 28 and Sunday, Oct. 5, the Stanford Quads will be hosting free introductory square dance events at the Ladera Community Church Recreation Center, 3300 Alpine Road. The event is open for singles, couples, families and kids ages 10 and up.

Atherton Veteran Art Show
The Atherton Arts Foundation is seeking entries from all armed service members, veterans and families to submit a photo of their art to be considered for the Veteran Art Show. The art submission deadline is on Oct. 14.
The art show will be hosted through Nov. 14-16 in the Jennings Pavilion at Holbrook Palmer Park in partnership with Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.
Types of acceptable art include paintings, photography, printing, ceramics, table-size sculptures, wood working, fabric and recycled articles.
