Woodside Day of the Horse

The Woodside-area Horse Owners Association, also known as WHOA, is hosting its annual Day of the Horse celebration on Oct. 10-11. This year’s theme is Year of the Fire Horse.

The weekend-long event starts with a trail ride from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Oct. 10, followed by an after-party from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Riders must register for the trail route in advance.

WHOA will be hosting a horse fair from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 11, at Town Hall, located at 2955 Woodside Road. The event will feature pony rides, food trucks, music, a blacksmith demonstration and lots of horses.

SamTrans R.I.D.E. Team

SamTrans is inviting its riders to join its R.I.D.E. Team, which stands for Riders Influencing Decision and Experiences. This group offers riders the opportunity to share their opinions and experiences with SamTrans.

The only requirement is that you are a frequent rider of SamTrans and interested in providing feedback. Spanish and Chinese speakers are encouraged to sign-up.
