The Junior League of Palo Alto-Mid Peninsula invites the public to its newly renovated resale shop in downtown Menlo Park for its sapphire anniversary sale. The 25 percent off sale, taking place Monday, Oct. 12, celebrates The Shop’s 45 years of supporting the community.
Since its founding in 1970, the Shop has raised more than $5 million to fund the Junior League’s community projects, grants, and services. Customers can find gently used clothing, accessories and household items donated by League members, local retailers and the community at large. The Shop is known for its selection of designer clothing and handbags, as well as china and crystal.
The Shop moved to Menlo Park in 1995, after 25 years in Redwood City. The recently completed renovation, guided by interior designer and League member Melissa Badger, transformed the resale destination from its original shabby chic design to a contemporary and spacious boutique, with expanded inventory, including new shoe and children’s departments.
The Shop, open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., welcomes donations of gently worn, quality clothing and merchandise in “like-new” condition. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law and may be made Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Shop’s back door.
