Someone broke into a home on the unit block of Almendral Avenue on Friday morning, Feb. 16, Atherton police reported on Friday afternoon. This is the second reported burglary in town in 24 hours; police reported that someone burglarized a home on Austin Avenue on Thursday evening, Feb. 15.

At about 9:19 a.m., the Almendral Avenue homeowners reported the burglary, which happened some time in the past week.

The suspects entered the residence by smashing a rear glass door, according to a police news bulletin. The take is unknown at this time, police said.

Both incidents are under investigation.
