An auto burglary suspect was arrested Saturday night in North Fair Oaks following a tip from a resident.

The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies to a home at the 3100 block of Edison Avenue in North Fair Oaks on Saturday, May 4, just after 9:30 p.m. They responded to a call about a suspect involved in a vehicle burglary.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies received a description of the suspect and learned that the individual had fled on foot toward 5th Avenue. A thorough search of the area led to the location and arrest of the suspect, identified as a 38-year-old Redwood City man.

The man was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility in Redwood City on several charges, including auto burglary, vandalism, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
