Sequoia Union High School District Public Information Officer Arthur Wilkie resigned from his position in July. His last day of employment is Monday, Aug. 12., according to Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Todd Beal.
Wilkie started working for the district in May 2023 after Richard Gebin resigned from the role in February 2023 after 10 months on the job, according to his LinkedIn profile. Ana Maria Pulido handled public relations for the district from 2018 to 2021.
“The decision is purely mine as I want to take advantage of some opportunities that are available to me right now, and while a lot isn’t finalized quite yet, the direction I’m most likely headed in is a career change,” said Wilkie in an email to this news organization. “I’ve been lucky to form some exceptional relationships and close bonds with people here in just a year’s time. I’ll always be grateful for the experience I had here to develop as a leader.”
On July 3, the school district posted a job opening to fill Wilkie’s position with an annual salary range of $152,898-$176,385. Applications are due on Wednesday, Aug.14, by 4:30 p.m.
Senior Administrative Secretary Rosa Miralles will serve as the interim public information office until the position is filled, according to Beal.
