With the primary election just around the corner, political candidates are ramping up their campaigns and doing final neighborhood canvassing, ensuring no stone is left unturned.

Five candidates are running for San Mateo County District 4 Board Supervisor, hoping to replace outgoing supervisor and board president Warren Slocum, who has reached the end of his term limit.

The primary election is set for March 5, with a possible general election on Nov. 5 if no candidate secures more than 50% of the primary vote.
