Kings Mountain Art Fair returns
The annual Kings Mountain Art Fair is returning this Labor Day weekend, Saturday through Monday, Sept. 5-7, at the Kings Mountain Community Center and Firehouse at 13889 Skyline Blvd. Proceeds from the fair go to the Kings Mountain Elementary School and Volunteer Fire Brigade.
Artist booths selling art, jewelry, clothing and pottery will be open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Parking is located along Skyline Boulevard and visitors must walk to the fair. There will also be shuttle stops located 0.8 miles north and 0.6 miles south of the fair on Skyline Boulevard. Free shuttles will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bicycle racks are also available at the south entrance.

Registrations open for Zott’s to Tots run
Portola Valley’s Zott’s to Tots Family Run and Bike is taking place on Saturday, Sept. 19. Participants have until Sept. 17 to register for the event.
The event starts at Rossotti’s Alpine Inn and will finish at Westridge Drive on Portola Road. Afterward, the town will host its annual picnic at Town Center from 11 a.m to 2 p.m.

Woodside Town Center Area Plan survey deadline extended
The deadline for submitting a survey on Woodside’s second Town Center Area Plan Update has been extended to Monday, Sept. 7. The town is currently gathering feedback from the community to help determine and develop preliminary concepts for transportation, parking, land use and public gathering spaces at Town Center.
The survey is estimated to take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete. All questions are optional. To take the survey, visit surveymonkey.com/r/WTCAP_Survey2.
Ravenswood Classroom Partners seeks volunteers
Ravenswood Classroom Partners, a nonprofit dedicated to closing the academic achievement gap in East Palo Alto and eastern Menlo Park, is looking for volunteers to tutor and mentor Ravenswood City School District students enrolled in transitional kindergarten through fifth grade.
As the district experiences enrollment growth from the closure of The Primary School, there is a greater demand for more volunteers, according to a press release.
The organization is seeking volunteers who can commit to just one hour per week during school hours. They will work with the same teacher and the same group of students during the year to allow volunteers and students to build consistent relationships.
