Showing respect on 9/11

Can Menlo Park pay respect to the lives lost in the 9/11 attacks? Showing reverence would especially be meaningful to Menlo Park families who lost loved ones.
Coming up soon is the annual day to pay tribute. At the moment, Menlo Park’s plaque is now dirty, covered with leaves and hidden away in a location near the Menlo Park Police Department that is difficult to find. The tree above is nice, but there is no bench or signs informing the public of its location.
It may also be meaningful if the City Council read a proclamation at its upcoming meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 15.
To do nothing is insulting and disrespectful. Please consider doing our part to make 9/11 an event that pays tribute meaningfully.

Make Four Corners a four-way stop

I come from Washington state every year to visit my brother in La Honda. I am a vendor at the Pescadero Arts & and Fun Festival and sometimes house sit for my friends right across from Alice’s Restaurant. It truly is a nightmare on the weekends! Locals avoid going out. The traffic is horrendous! Cars and motorcycles vie for space on the roads and at Alice’s.
Plus, in my years of coming here, I think it imperative that Four Corners be a four way stop. Folks that are unaware Skyline does not have a stop sign, stop anyway causing a traffic jam. People on Highway 84 that do have a stop are not sure whether it’s safe to proceed through the intersection or not.
I’ve never seen it as bad on weekends as it is now.
