This press release is from Scott Delucchi of the Peninsula Humane Society:
This Sunday, Feb. 25, from 11 am to noon, local residents are invited to attend a free workshop at the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA (PHS/SPCA) designed to show them how to trap feral cats using humane methods and get them spayed or neutered, often free of charge.
Sunday’s workshop is being given by the Homeless Cat Network, another local nonprofit unaffiliated with PHS/SPCA. The workshop will take place inside PHS/SPCA’s Auditorium, located at the far right end of the shelter’s 12 Airport Blvd. location.
Many local residents have a neighborhood stray or multiple strays simply left on their own to find food, shelter and to reproduce. Most people don’t know what they can do to stop this cycle. Sunday’s workshop will address this question with practical, humane solutions.
Pre-registration is not required. For more information, call 650/286-9013 or send e-mail to info@homelesscatnetwork.com.
