Two people injured as car crashes on Marsh Road
The driver of a car lost control when exiting southbound U.S. 101 at Marsh Road on April 10, hurtling into four parked cars and nearly crashing into the Fitness 101 building in Menlo Park, Menlo Park Fire Battalion Chief Mark Shaffe said.
The man and woman in the car were both taken to the hospital following the 1:45 p.m. accident, though injuries “did not appear life threatening,” Mr. Shaffer said.
The Honda CRV damaged four parked vehicles and a fence along the freeway onramp in the course of careening through an intersection, over an ivy embankment and across Scott Drive into the Fitness 101 parking lot at 40 Scott Drive.
It stopped “just about 6 inches short of the (Fitness 101) building,” Mr. Shaffer said. “If anybody was in the path, there would have been some serious problems,” he added.
