Dave Newhouse, a longtime sportswriter and columnist for the Oakland Tribune and a member of the Menlo-Atherton High School class of 1956, will be at Kepler’s at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, to talk about his new book on what happened to members of that class.
Mr. Newhouse, who grew up in Menlo Park, titled his book, “Old Bears: The Class of 1956 Reaches its Fiftieth Reunion, Reflecting on the Happy Days and the Unhappy Days.”
Mr. Newhouse will make two other Peninsula book-signing appearances: the Oasis Beer Garden at 241 El Camino Real in Menlo Park at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22; and Border’s Books, 456 University Ave. in Palo Alto at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25.
