While she won’t be sitting on the Portola Valley Town Council until January, the council plans to formally appoint Planning Commission Chair Ann Wengert at its 8 p.m. Aug. 22 meeting at the Historic Schoolhouse.
The council’s decision not to hold an election in November is a result of there being only two candidates running for the two seats — Ms. Wengert and incumbent Councilman Steve Toben, who will be re-appointed.
