Anyone who wants to weigh in on the draft program environmental impact report (EIR) for the Hudddart/Wunderlich master plan has until Wednesday, Sept. 12, to register comments.
The master plan for development of the two mountain parks in and near Woodside over the next 20 years was prepared in 2006 after extensive public hearings and input.
At a public hearing Aug. 2, the San Mateo County Parks and Recreation Commission only heard from the small group of Woodside residents who live along Greer Road in Woodside. Those residents have current issues with access to Huddart Park from their narrow road, and use of trails that connect to Raymundo Drive in Woodside.
The draft program EIR may be viewed at the county parks Web site, www.eparks.net; click on the “Park Planning” link on the left, and then “Other Planning Efforts” in the center of the page.
People with questions or comments may contact Senior Planner Sam Herzberg at 363-1823 or at sherzberg@co.sanmateo.ca.us. Or write Mr. Herzberg at San Mateo County Parks Department, 455 County Center, 4th Floor, Redwood City, CA 94063.
