The San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge will reopen ahead of schedule at 6 p.m. today, said California Department of Transportation spokesman John Goodwin.
The bridge has been closed for construction since about 8:40 p.m. Friday and was originally scheduled to reopen 5 a.m. Tuesday, according to Caltrans spokesman Bart Ney.
