Beatlemania lives on. Author and “Beatles expert” Richie Unterberger will speak, play rare recordings and show rare film clips of the Fab Four in two-hour presentations in Atherton and Portola Valley.
He will speak at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at the Atherton library at 2 Dinkelspiel Station Lane; and at 7 p.m. the next day, Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Portola Valley library at 4575 Alpine Rd. at Corte Madera School.
Mr. Unterberger is the author of the new book, “The Unreleased Beatles: Music and Film,” in which he covers rarely heard and seen audio and film footage extending from 1957, when they were the Quarrymen, to the final sessions of “Let It Be” in 1970. The book also covers bootleg recordings and includes more than 100 photos.
